Is Marlboro a "Sending" Town in 2006?There is much new talk about Act 60/68 this political season and how much extra education money property rich towns have to ante up for Montpelier, above what they need to cover their own school budgets. I must admit, I don't know if Marlboro was considered property rich for 2006 or not. Would someone please enlighten me. TIA Submitted by Alan Fitch on October 9, 2006 - 8:33am.

According to the Revolt and Repeal movement's website, Marlboro is a sending town, on balance. Their figures do not include rebates, prebates, and special ed aid, but on balance Marlboro probably is a sending town. I think Act 60 was a big mistake. The state took too much power and the income-sensitivity is too expensive for the rest of us to support.
